KD Frick, Johns Hopkins University

KD Frick, PhD, is a health economist who began at the Bloomberg School of Public Health in 1996 and has been at Johns Hopkins ever since, moving to the Carey Business School in 2013. Professor Frick’s work is primarily in the realm of measuring costs and cost-effectiveness, with a focus on translating findings into real world, actionable conclusions. Their teaching has focused on economics, cost-effectiveness, whether the US healthcare system encourages innovation, and leadership and values. They actively mentor at numerous levels and were glad to work with two mentees on this publication.
