Jocelyn J. Fitzgerald, MD, URPS, FACS, is a Urogynecologist and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeon at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh, completed residency at Johns Hopkins, and fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at Georgetown/MedStar. Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Female Pelvic Medicine, Dr. Fitzgerald specializes in urogynecology with a focus on advancing surgical care and outcomes for women. Her research and advocacy on reimbursement inequities – termed “gyneconomics” – highlight systemic undervaluation of gynecologic care and its impact on patients and innovation in women’s health.
