Oluwatobi (Tobi) Ogbechie-Godec, APDerm

Oluwatobi (Tobi) Ogbechie-Godec, MD, MBA, is a board-certified dermatologist and the Chief Medical Officer at APDerm, a large dermatology and plastic surgery private practice in New England. Dr. Ogbechie-Godec’s interest in healthcare delivery grew from the fascination with the interplay of the socioeconomic and medical implications of disease. She has co-authored several articles and editorials in peer-reviewed academic journals. Upon graduating from Harvard College, she joined Bain & Company as an Associate Consultant. She completed a joint degree in medicine (MD) and business administration (MBA) in 2015 from Harvard Medical and Business Schools. She later completed a dermatology residency at The Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at NYU Langone Health, where she also served as a Chief Resident. Dr. Ogbechie-Godec began participating in organizational dermatology as a member of the Resource-Based Relative Value Scale Committee at the American Academy of Dermatology. Since then, she has actively participated in the Healthcare Finance Committee, Workgroup for Innovative Payment Delivery, amongst others and currently serves as the Chair of the Healthcare Finance Committee. As a practicing board-certified dermatologist and a physician leader, Dr. Ogbechie-Godec applies her knowledge of medical practice to improve clinical operations and maximize value of healthcare enterprises. She will continue to use her academic and management foundations to serve dermatology patients and to advance innovative and entrepreneurial models for healthcare delivery.
